To Gamergate

Do We Truly Strive for Progress?

Current Song: ā€œVampireā€ by Olivia Rodrigo

ā€œSorry, this section isnā€™t ready yet. How about a song and poem instead?ā€

Oh, dear reader, bright-eyed and keen,

Youā€™re waiting for tales of my gaming scene.

With villains so crafty and heroes so brave,

But here in my girl cave, Iā€™m still trying to save!

Once a little girl, with dreams in her heart,

I played games for hours, adventures would start.

As I grew older, the angst came to play,

Devil horns on our hands, weā€™d rock out all day.

When the days faded, music always took reign,

As I blasted my playlists, letting joy wash the pain.

With headphones so loud, drowning out the fears,

Each note was a lifeline, each chorus brought tears.

My little girl self is still tangled in quests,

Finding her voice while I put her to the tests.

The villains are scheming, their evil plots thick,

While Iā€™m stuck juggling another word trick.

With piercings a-plenty, I rebelled with a grin,

ā€œWho needs your permission?ā€ Iā€™d shout and spin.

In punk rock attire, Iā€™d dance through the night,

While battling bosses, Iā€™d put up a good fight.

When the pages are ready, and the stories unfold,

Weā€™ll dive into worlds that are daring and bold.

From dungeons and dragons of angst to pixelated fun,

Weā€™ll celebrate all the crazy battles Iā€™ve won!

Until then, keep dreaming of gaming and strife,

And of little girls conquering the pixels of lifeā€”

For soon enough, my tales will be spun,

And together weā€™ll celebrateā€”oh, what a run!

So hold on just a little; my heartā€™s on this quest,

I promise each word will be vibrant and blessed.

Thank you, dear reader, for being my guest,

For embracing my journey, the magic, all the rest.

When the time comes for pages to cherish and share,

Weā€™ll enchant the world together, wild hearts laid bare.

Soon youā€™ll dive headfirst into lands filled with cheerā€”

With gaming, rebellion, and memories so dear!

These moments of gaming, of magic and song,

Wove patches of light where I truly belonged.
