This Has Been Going On For Nearly A Decade—Why Don't You Just Leave?
“Words have no power to impress the mind without
the exquisite horror of their reality.”
Why Domestic Violence Victims Don't “Just Leave”
by Wendy L. Patrick, J.D., M.Div., Ph.D.
She emphasizes that she was never formally in any relationship with her 'loverboy' trafficker or anyone from his 'network.' She remained faithful to both her husband and him, and there is no credible evidence supporting any infidelity or cheating accusations. The 'network' attacking her life, her means of income, her reputation, and her friends and family all know this, and she made sure to let them know at every turn to prove the premeditated nature of all these 'attacks.'
In 2019, after enduring years of relentless 'silent treatments'—during which he'd read her words but ignored her and pretended she didn't exist—and being 'attacked' by his 'network,' she decided to leave his dangerous coercive control, untrained use of damaging operant conditioning, and neuro-linguistic programming, none of which was done with her knowledge or informed consent.
Despite pleading for relief many times, he refused to provide any. When she decided to stop requesting relief, he would 'poke' at her social media accounts that were public-facing—none of the hidden accounts ever went through this—proving he and his 'network' were invading her privacy, cyberstalking her, and requesting access to public records for multiple blackmail and extortion attempts. These were always followed by more 'attacks' when she did not comply with his and the unreasonable and illegal demands of his 'network.'
He tried to manipulate her into an affair before finding out that she was polyamorous, allegedly intending to conduct the same "love scam" that was becoming well-known in gaming and Gamergate at the time. He attempted to 'loverboy' groom her to collect data that was misused and misattributed fraudulently later, falsely suggesting he "couldn't believe [she] left" her husband. Despite her husband's attempts to reach out to him to stop abusing his wife, all attempts were ignored.
He continued to accuse her of cheating, perpetuating a false narrative based on the distress he caused. Until 2019, the public false accusations became more vague but were always connected to her 'loverboy' trafficker and his 'network.' By late 2020, she sought to obtain non-disclosure agreements and documentation from him for healthier closure, but he ignored those requests, continuing the abuse online on decoy accounts.
The spring of 2021 saw a resurgence of assaults, intensified by smear campaigns using edited evidence, hacking, threats, public defamation, and attempts to ruin her reputation through her social circles, including credible threats and public false accusations only five days before one of her family members was violently murdered. In 2022, after a six-year gap following initial blackmail and stalking incidents from 2016, she approached law enforcement again. During this time, false accusations suggested she frequently involved law enforcement due to supposed personality disorder issues, which are untrue; she has no personality disorders.
A police sergeant in his area confirmed her account after speaking to the trafficker, who admitted to communicating with her under false identities online despite her pleas for an end to the harassment and assurances that "it would stop," which it didn't and has continued through 2024. Despite this, the torment persisted. His "friends" continued their attacks, attempting to undermine her public online presence and erase messages to fabricate evidence. The case was escalated to international authorities in 2023 and remains pending.
Their tactics exemplify financial abuse aimed at silencing her income-generating accounts, reflecting the exploitation's core elements: force, fraud, and coercion. In late 2023, one associate explicitly threatened to 'interfere with the investigation' if they could 'find her doxx,' an attempt to obstruct justice, which was reported. She used pseudonyms for her income accounts to show that the attackers focused only on her identifiable profiles while leaving others unscathed.
She has experienced years of stalking and gang stalking, resulting in personal distress and public humiliation from those protecting him and their fraudulent narratives. It’s important to recognize that victims often know their traffickers and are lured into their situations rather than forcibly taken, as highlighted by trafficking education resources. Once she realized her circumstances, she felt trapped by manipulation, smear campaigns, and threats documented in her journal, which is being shared on this site only.
By sharing her story, she hopes to raise awareness and help others recognize similar risks to avoid falling victim to these crimes.
